What Protective Lenses Do Sunglasses Need in Summer 2026?
In Summer 2026, sunglasses need four things to properly protect your eyes: UV400 certification, a Category 3 lens rating, polarized technology to cut glare, and impact-resistant materials such as nylon or polycarbonate. The sun is near its solar maximum in 2026, meaning UV output is higher than average. A dark tint alone is not enough.
